Infrared Moisture Meter FD-720

An infrared moisture meter standard model that adopts a heating drying mass measurement method with principles close to the official method, capable of displaying up to 0.01% precision.

To achieve a high-performance and high-precision moisture meter while being a standard model, the mass sensor is equipped with a balance unit "Uniblock*" with a resolution of 1 mg, and the heat source features two mid-wavelength infrared quartz heaters with a large heat capacity of 200W each. Additionally, to mitigate the effects of balance drift, an auto-tare mechanism has been adopted, similar to previous series models. To allow for the optimal drying conditions for a wide range of measurement targets, there are six selectable measurement modes depending on the situation, including a "Rapid Drying Mode" that avoids temperature drops in the chamber due to vaporization heat and shortens drying time, and a "Slow Drying Mode" that is effective for samples prone to thermal degradation. This device can be used in various settings, primarily in quality control and inspection departments that require advanced moisture management. *"Uniblock" is a product name of Shimadzu Corporation. ● Six measurement modes to meet various measurement requirements ● Displays moisture change over 30 seconds ● Equipped with an auto-tare mechanism ● Features mid-wavelength infrared quartz heaters ● Saves 10 measurement conditions ● External output to PC and printer ● Calibration of mass sensor is possible ● Compatible with IQ/OQ requirements

Infrared Moisture Meter FD-800

The pinnacle of the Kett Scientific Research Institute's infrared moisture meter series! Featuring a groundbreaking dual temperature sensor system to achieve high-precision moisture measurement!

The conventional device measured the environmental temperature in the drying chamber using a thermistor and controlled the heating and drying temperature. The temperature measurement using the thermistor is a stable and established method based on long-term results. However, when higher precision moisture measurement is required, it is structurally difficult to maintain a consistent distance between the heater or thermistor and the sample due to issues with the sample temperature's responsiveness to the environmental temperature and the shape of the sample. This variability negatively impacted measurement accuracy. Therefore, this device is equipped with a non-contact radiation thermometer that directly measures the sample temperature in addition to the thermistor, complementing the thermistor's shortcomings and allowing for the setting of optimal heating and drying conditions tailored to the sample characteristics, without burning or altering the sample, thus achieving reduced measurement time and improved measurement accuracy. This device is positioned as a moisture meter for quality control departments and inspection departments that require advanced moisture management, supporting high-precision moisture control. ● Six measurement modes to meet various measurement requirements ● Displays moisture change over 30 seconds ● Equipped with an auto-tare mechanism ● Features a medium-wavelength infrared quartz heater ● External output to PC and printer ● Calibration of mass sensors is possible

Infrared Moisture Meter FD-660

This is an infrared moisture meter that is very similar to the standard method for moisture measurement, known as the "loss on drying method," which serves as the basic standard for moisture measurement.

While maintaining a compact appearance compared to conventional instruments, it inherits the auto-tear mechanism that reduces the influence of balance drift and has significantly revamped the control section. By equipping it with an LCD and keys with good visibility, it has become a user-friendly device that indicates the state of the instrument and the operations that users can perform. Additionally, the organic carbon heater, which is adopted for the first time as a heat source, emits a large amount of infrared radiation in the wavelength range that reacts with water, resulting in efficient sample drying and a longer lifespan compared to infrared lamps and halogen heaters. Furthermore, it does not contain halogen compounds or metals, making it an environmentally friendly heat source. As a new feature, it includes a Pre Heat mode, which stabilizes the internal temperature of the instrument before measurement, ensuring mechanical and electrical stability. Other improvements, such as enlarging the sample tray to enhance drying efficiency, have been made, incorporating the extensive research results of infrared moisture meters. This instrument serves as a new versatile device for infrared moisture measurement, suitable for various applications, including quality control and inspection departments that require moisture management.
